For our first blog post, I thought it might be useful to cover some FAQs, more specifically, the questions we hear the most often when a customer first reaches out to us for help. Perhaps you have asked these questions yourself, or maybe seeing them here can provide some confidence that we’ve heard and answered them all before.
The ENTIRE SCADA System locks up for 30 seconds/1 minute/5 minutes every time we add a device to the network. What is going on?
As this network has grown, we’ve had to power cycle PLCs with increasing frequency after they locked up. Is there any way to make this network more robust so we can avoid these production downtimes?
Why have our OIT/HMI screens become less responsive/more laggy over time?
How do we connect these two network islands that have the same IP schema and overlapping IPs in use? Is there any way to do it WITHOUT having to re-IP?
